Hello and thank you for visiting the HenHouse. I'm a stay-at-home thirty-something mum looking after Mr HenHouse and the Munchkin, aged 13 (going on 18). We also have a gorgeous and very spoiled ginger tom, Charlie Boy. Sadly we had to say goodbye to our two other furry boys this year. We have recently moved from the city to our dream home in the West Country. I have always loved vintage and have collections of eiderdowns, china and fabrics to name just a few. I love sewing and am an avid patchworker and quilter. As a family, we are dotty about the past and love the 1940s, often dressing up for re-enactment events. To fund my fabric habit, I sell handmade items in my Etsy shop. I'm pretty nutty about interiors, too and our homes have been featured in various magazines.
Thanks so much for popping into my little shop. I love sewing, crafting and creating things. I take great pride in all of my work and am sure you will find my items well made, designed and perfectly finished. I use the best quality fabrics and yarns and am always looking for vintage bits 'n' bobs to give my items a distinctive and unique edge.
I also have an Etsy shop which you are welcome to browse and there you can read feedback from my many satisfied customers. Happy browsing...

Payment
Payment can be made via Paypal or personal cheque (personal cheque in the UK only). Personal cheques must clear before posting of purchases.
With Paypal, you will receive an invoice by email which will then lead you through the payment process, you can use credit/debit cards, make payments from your bank or you might have an existing Paypal balance - lucky you! It's easy and instant and free to you.
P&P
Postage is usually regular first class, which is covered by standard Royal Mail compensation (N.B. a maximum of £46). Postage is at the customer's risk so if you require the added peace of mind, please ask for extra insurance cover should you be purchasing item(s) worth more than this limit and wish to insure their full value. This is charged at cost.
I always obtain proof of posting which I keep until I know you have received everything safe and sound. Please note that Royal Mail do not offer compensation for breakage of china or glass with any of their services and as such, postage of these items is at the customer's risk. I do pack extremely well.
I will always charge you the actual price for postage plus a small charge of around 50p to cover quality packaging to protect your special goods. Any over charges above this amount will be refunded after posting.
By the way...
Please note that as a teeny tiny business, I do not offer refunds (not that I have yet been asked!) I am happy to provide further details or pictures of any items and I want you to be thoroughly thrilled with your purchase.
